Nicola made our outstanding & unique wedding rings. We had never commissioned a piece before but Nicola was so thorough & attentive & put us at ease throughout. She really listened to our ideas & wishes, sketching suggestions based on these. Nicola quite literally made my dream ring. She explained how different metals work in different ways, which metals may be a little more durable for my husband, considered aspects that we hadn't (such as embedding the gem stones into the ring to create a flush finish that was less likely to cause harm or be broken) & offered suggestions of what may compliment my engagement ring. I always wanted my wedding & engagement ring to connect or hold some link to one another; Nicola ensured that my engagement ring fitted "like a warm hug" into the wedding ring - like it was always meant to be there - and thought of ways to tie in aspects of the engagement ring into the design of my wedding ring. Most importantly, we were so grateful that Nicola understood the significance and importance of our wedding rings and what they resemble to us - particularly the emotional connection that they held. She kept in contact throughout the process & made sure we truly were so happy by the time they were ready to pick up. She also came up with clever and cost effective solutions when budget was tight, but also made it clear where not to cut corners if possible to prevent a lack of quality. We loved our rings so much that when we picked them up, we wore them all the way home (before putting them away ready for the wedding). They bring us so much joy every day & are such a wonderful reminder of not only our day, but also each other & those personal aspects we just couldn't have ever found in a high street ring. For example, my ring has markings that are like sun rays to symbolise the theme of light throughout our wedding & my grandad. My husband's ring has a Welsh love knot engraved around it to honour his Welsh heritage. Both rings have the Welsh word for love "cariad" and the date of our wedding, but in each other's handwriting to help us feel connected to each other. We are so grateful to Nicola for making our dream wedding rings and really supporting us throughout the commission/making process.
